The collection includes information about religious life in Russia, on Latvian Baptists, Reformed Baptists, the All-Union Council of Evangelical Christians and Baptists and the Baptist World Alliance. The papers include correspondence, articles, periodicals, documents, minutes of Baptist congresses and photographs. The papers include significant material related to Vasily Gur'evich Pavlov. Pavlov was the patriarch of the Baptist movement in Russia in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The Pavlov material (all in Russian) contains typescripts of his autobiography, diaries (1899-1920), biography and articles. The collection spans the years 1854 to 1970. Much of the material in the collection is in the Russian and Latvian languages with some material in English and German.
